Project Description
Material handling equipment intended for use in explosive zones is always a demanding application. This case is no exception. All components of the device are adapted to the designated explosive atmosphere. The supplied devices constituted the basic equipment for an ergonomic workstation for loading semi-finished products, i.e., at the very beginning of the production process. The required lifting capacity of 1500 kg determined the selection of the TL2000 lifting table model, a highly stable, well-engineered, flagship model from the TRANSLYFT single sccissor family. Since electric forklifts with front-mounted legs are used to position pallets of semi-finished products on the lift (to place the pallet on the lift platform, the forklift legs must be driven under the lift), a special FLT support frame was added to the application, equipped with six feet anchored to the floor, allowing the forklift to drive under the lift sleeve. The complete hydraulic lift structure is made of AISI 304/1.4301 glass-blasted stainless steel, with platform dimensions: 1450x1000mm; scissor stroke: 820mm; resting height: 410mm (210mm jack + 200mm FLT support frame); maximum lift height: 1230mm; lifting time: 25 seconds; a type II hydraulic cylinder is used, i.e., the piston rod and all hydraulic connections are made of AISI 316/1.4401 stainless steel; the cylinder tube is sandblasted, coated with an anti-corrosion primer, and painted with a two-component polyurethane varnish. Additionally, a PCV bellow scissor guard is installed, specifically adapted for operation in EX zones. Also noteworthy is the lift's freestanding electro-hydraulic unit. The complete control unit, including the motor, is separated from the lifting table. All electrical components are housed in a tightly sealed cast iron capsule. All cable ports are additionally sealed with a special paste. The entire unit is protected by a rather robust cover, also made of glass blasted stainless steel. To protect the device (both the lift and the unit), a reusable bumper panel (with an integrated SIS system connection between base and shield) is installed, consisting of FAS corner bumpers and an RSP panel. The entire bumper panel provides very robust anti-collision protection with impact resistance exceeding 400 Nm.
